Mrs. Barajas is an exemplary teacher who makes a lasting impact on her students, families, and the entire school community. She demonstrates extraordinary dedication to her students' academic, emotional, and social growth, creating a warm and welcoming classroom environment where every student feels valued and successful. Her innovative teaching methods, including hands-on activities, collaborative projects, and the integration of the Portrait of a Graduate/IB learner profiles, keep students excited about learning. She differentiates instruction to meet the needs of her students, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to thrive. Her invaluable service as the ELAC and EL facilitator demonstrates her exceptional diligence in supporting our English Learner program and her outstanding leadership on our campus.

As the Head Custodian at Sugar Hill, Mr. Brown consistently goes beyond expectations in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and families, embodying a dedication to excellence that permeates every aspect of his work. From ensuring spotless classrooms each morning to meticulously maintaining the safety of all school facilities, Mr. Brown demonstrates a level of care that sets him apart. Despite the inevitable challenges of maintaining a busy elementary school, he consistently pays meticulous attention to even the smallest details to ensure everything is in top condition. He is an invaluable leader on our campus and we are honored to recognize Mr. Brown as our Classified Employee of the Year.

Moreno Valley Unified Triumphs at RCOE National History Competition

 

In Moreno Valley, Calif., 34 students from the Moreno Valley Unified School District have demonstrated excellence at the RCOE National History competition, advancing with 16 projects to the state level. With 46 schools, including 13 from Moreno Valley, participating in the competition, a diverse range of institutions showcased their talent. Among 386 student entries, Moreno Valley participants secured 34 wins, highlighting their dedication to academic excellence. These winning students will progress to the California State Competition at CSU Sacramento on April 19-24, 2024.

Esports All Girls Tournament

The Moreno Valley Unified School District is hosting its first-ever All Girls Esports Tournament on Saturday, December 2, 2023 from 9:00 AM - 3:30 PM.
